Dr. Newman has extensive training in both therapy and pharmacological modalities as a means to augment patient care. She is a clinical psychologist in addition to receiving her Master’s in Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology.
Dr. Newman can consult with your physician if necessary surrounding medications and other biological issues that might impact your care. Additionally, she has received specialized training and is also available to treat Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourette’s syndrome, specific phobias, as well as depression, anxiety and mood disorders. She was trained at the University of Pennsylvania by the founders of Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy. The aim is to collaborate together with you to identify what goals you are working towards as well as a treatment plan to support you.
Dr. Newman sees individual, private pay patients in addition to working as a clinical psychologist at a local psychiatric hospital. Her approach is evidence-based and always patient-centered. She works with diverse populations and can specifically tailor treatment plans to best meet your needs. Dr. Newman has experience working with businesses and professionals; she provides flexible scheduling including evening and weekend sessions and limits the number of patients she takes; therefore, she is able to meet your needs more readily and is more accessible throughout the day.
Outside of work, Dr. Newman is an avid tennis player and loves spending time with her Boston Terrier. Family and friends are the centerpiece of her free time and she embraces those amazing moments.
